CFO Reaches Out to Region 1, Conducts PESO Sense Financial Literacy Training in Rosales, Pangasinan

20 March 2024 – The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) – PESO Sense team, led by Director Marita Del Rosario-Apattad, alongside Mr. Warner Dawal and Ms. Patricia Marie Salvador, facilitated a 1-day Kaalamang Pinansyal Tungo Sa Kaunlaran (Kapit Ka) Financial Literacy Training for 50 members of the New Testament Assemblies of God Church in Rosales, Pangasinan.

 

On behalf of CFO Secretary Romulo V. Arugay, Dir. Apattad stressed the importance of managing one’s finances and how proper handling can help the family prosper by saving and growing their money. She said it was timely this Women’s Month, that many attendees were women who play a vital role in managing the family’s finances. Women should be knowledgeable and empowered for them to be able to make strategic decisions for the family.

Pastor Esmeraldo Agustin, the church’s leader and a longstanding civil society organization partner of the CFO in Region 1, extended appreciation to the PESO Sense
team for conducting the training.

 

Mr. Dawal and Ms. Salvador facilitated workshop sessions on Financial Literacy and Financial Planning, Knowing One’s Financial Standing, Financial Fitness Quiz, Prioritizing Expenses, Preparing a Dream Matrix, The Right Formula for Saving, and Preparation of Personal Income and Expense Tracker (PIET).

The diverse group of participants included students, homemakers, entrepreneurs, government employees, and retirees. They were awarded certificates of participation after
the program.
